ENT simply stands for ears, nose and throat. This field of medicine is also called otolaryngology, a surgical subspecialty that deals with the surgical and medical management of conditions of the head and neck.
Some of the most common conditions that an ENT surgeon can treat are sinusitis, nose infections and injuries, ear infections, vertigo, tonsillitis, thyroid issues, head and neck pain, speech and swallowing disorders, and various sleep disorders, including sleep apnea. Our resident ENT surgeon (and the founder of Edge Day Hospital) also has a special interest in rhinoplasty and other related types of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face.
